The Galapagos are voted year after year one of the top diving spots in the world by divers. And it is not a surprise! There are few places left in the world where an entire archipelago is virtually free of commercial fishing, leaving its water to those who want to watch the action unfold! The islands are the second largest Marine Reserve in the world and have even been recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Visiting the Galapagos is a 'once in a lifetime' adventure and diving in its water is described as spectacular. Aside from its large amount of fish species - over 400, where 10% are endemic - it is home to some of the most world renowned shark diving. Name them and they are there! Schooling hammerheads, whale sharks, Galapagos sharks, white tipped sharks, makos and thresher sharks - to name a few - are all resident in the surrounding waters, and will provide you with some thrilling and exciting dives. Add to the mix penguins, manta rays and the occasional whales - where can you go wrong?
Smooth, stylish, spacious and comfortable, M/Y Darwin Buddy along with its sister ship M/Y Wolf Buddy are the newest and most spacious diving liveaboards in the archipelago of Galapagos, offering divers an unparalleled service...

The dive deck is unique in Galapagos liveaboards and consists of 2 separate sections - one can be closed off on cooler days and heated for when you exit the water! With plenty of space to get kitted up and store your diving equipment, it’s a dream platform for entering some of the most exciting waters in the world. The photographers will also be pleased to hear that there is a custom-designed camera table and rinse tanks.
There is a lounge/bar/restaurant area located on the main deck where you can relax after your dives. This is the ideal space for watching movies, viewing your images on the big screen, sipping cocktails prepared by the staff or attempting to fit everything you saw underwater into your logbook! In the restaurant, the local chefs serve first-class meals made of a combination of local and international cuisine, including a healthy and complete breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The upper deck features a sun terrace for catching some rays and the fly deck offers comfy chairs and a Jacuzzi for those who have not had enough of the water!
